Shade Vision

We are committed to providing our patients with the latest treatments and technologies available to ensure they receive optimum results! Dr. Karhan uses the ShadeVision system to acquire accurate shade information from a patient’s teeth to be able to fabricate tooth colored restorations as close to the natural color of their teeth as possible.

The Shade Vision system is a wireless, hand-held instrument. It quickly and painlessly provides Dr. Karhan with an extremely accurate color assessment. Once the images are uploaded to a computer, tooth shades can be shown as an average, a color grid, or as a multishade mapping. This information can be used in several different ways. We can use it to follow the progress of tooth whitening. It can be used in the selection materials in tooth colored composite fillings or all porcelain restorations. Lastly, the information can be stored as a file we can e-mail to our lab for custom laboratory fabricated restorations. ShadeVision is just another example of technology we utilize to help keep your smile looking naturally beautiful.
